Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number (optional) — only if you choose to receive text reminders
• Anything you submit through a form, reply email, or text message

Information collected automatically

• IP address and general location inferred from it
• Browser type, device type, and operating system
• Pages visited, referring page, and links clicked
• Campaign and attribution data carried in the page URL when you arrive from an ad or link (for example utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, and Meta's click identifier)
• Cookies and similar technologies described below

Webinar attendance. If you register for a webinar, we receive registration and attendance details (such as join time, watch duration, and whether you attended) from our webinar hosting provider.

Information from advertising partners. We work with Meta (Facebook/Instagram) to measure and improve our advertising. This can include Meta matching a cryptographically hashed — never plain-text — version of your email address, phone number, and/or IP address against its own systems, to attribute a webinar registration to an ad you saw or clicked.

How We Use Information

• Register you for the webinar and send your unique join link
• Send confirmation, reminder, and replay emails and text messages
• Provide the calendar invite and workbook you requested
• Respond to questions you send us
• Measure which ads, campaigns, and content are effective, so we can improve them
• Maintain the security and proper functioning of our site
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Text Messages (SMS)

If you provide a mobile number and consent, we send a limited number of text messages related to the webinar you registered for — currently up to 5 messages (confirmation, reminders, and/or replay-related messages). Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies by program. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or text HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of registering for the webinar or of any purchase. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We do not share your mobile number with third parties for their own marketing. It is used only to deliver the messages described here through the service providers below.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include pixels (small transparent images that report activity back to a server) and browser storage (data your browser holds locally, like session storage). Here is what we actually use:

Essential. Remembers your cookie-banner preference for the length of your visit. Stored in your browser's session storage and cleared when you close the tab. Nothing is sent to a third party.

Advertising / Measurement — Meta Pixel. Set by Meta (Facebook/Instagram) when our page loads, to help us measure which ads lead to a webinar registration:

We also temporarily hold campaign information from the page URL (such as utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, and Meta's click identifier) in your browser's session storage, so that if you register later in the same visit, we credit the right campaign. This clears when you close the tab — it is not a persistent cookie.

We do not currently use Google Analytics, PostHog, or any other analytics or advertising technology beyond the Meta Pixel described above on these pages.

The cookie banner. When you first visit, a banner lets you choose "Essential only" or "Accept all." This records your preference for the session, consistent with the banner's "by continuing you consent" language.

Your choices. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings — blocking essential cookies may affect how the site works. You can control how Meta uses cookies for ad personalization directly in your Meta account's ad settings, or through industry opt-out tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info) or the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org).

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

Service providers, who process information on our behalf to operate this webinar funnel:

• Zoom — webinar hosting, registration, and attendance
• Customer.io — email and SMS delivery and marketing automation
• Twilio — text message delivery
• Meta Platforms, Inc. — advertising measurement (Pixel and Conversions API)
• Supabase and Vercel — website hosting and database infrastructure

Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or when we believe it's necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Guides Collective, our users, or others.

Business transfers. If Guides Collective is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy or a successor policy.

Your Choices and Rights

• Email — every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
• Text messages — reply STOP at any time.
• Access, correction, or deletion — email admin@guidescollective.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you. We'll respond within a reasonable time.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, or Virginia), including the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Guides Collective does not sell personal information for money. To the extent our advertising cookies are considered "sharing" under applicable law, you may opt out using the controls above or by contacting us.

Data Retention & Security

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the webinar and related communications described here, and afterward for a reasonable period to maintain records, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information; no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children's Privacy

Our webinars and this site are intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us so we can delete it.

Sensitive Information

Our webinar registration flow collects only what's described above — it does not ask about your health, medical history, or personal experience with any substance. We do not knowingly collect health or medical information through this funnel.

International Visitors

This site is operated from the United States and intended for a U.S. audience. If you access it from outside the U.S., your information will be processed in the U.S., which may have different data protection laws than your country.
